CleanTech Hackathon

Clean Tech Youth Programme

DEWA’s Sustainability & Innovation Centre is excited to announce the launch of its third CleanTech Hackathon in February 2025, as part of UAE Innovates. This competition brings together innovators from diverse fields to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to advancing clean and renewable energy technologies.

The CleanTech Hackathon is central to the fight against climate change and water scarcity promoting environmental sustainability. It invites local and international companies as well as mature senior student projects to innovate across three key tracks: Desalination, Decarbonisation, and Digitalisation. Participants will have the chance to pitch and showcase cutting-edge solutions aimed at optimising energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and integrating digital technologies into sustainable systems. These tracks focus on improving resource efficiency, overcoming environmental challenges, and leveraging smart technologies for a more sustainable future.

The Hackathon is designed to empower groups of innovating companies and mature senior student projects, encouraging the development of high-impact solutions that push the boundaries of clean energy and sustainability. Participants not only gain recognition but also contribute to the global movement towards a cleaner, more energy-efficient world.
